For every ignorant person that thinks this was OK, or all in fun in the context of the activity, there are 50 that realize there is NO Place for anything that alludes to racism except to snuff it out. High school students should be mature enough to look at the incident now and realize it was unacceptable. I feel really bad for all the Honor students that didn’t recognize this as hateful; they just failed their final exam, even if they do get college credit.

Multiculturalism is a failure. One of these days we’ll take our country back and kick these leftists and blacks out.

The Anglo-Americans will have their own country and own representation again, without fear of reproach and without pandering to anyone.

        Long live freedom!

  3. Larz,
Read about your experience in school last week, someone sent me your blog. I’m totally surprised and want to talk to you and your dad. Please send me an email with a number where I can get ahold of you.
    Hope you’re ok.

I think the news needs to do a story on the OTHER side of this situation instead of assuming what this blog says is true. Talk to some actual Alta witnesses. We saw what really happened. Alta’s reputation is ruined because of what happened, because nobody else got the chance to speak.

I just read your story on KSL and was inspired to write to you to support you and your fathers actions. I have lived in Salt Lake almost my entire life and understand what you are experiencing. I was not brought up to be a bigot. I was brought up with good solid values. It is indeed unfortunate when we are confronted with this type (or any type) of prejudice. My mothers best friend was interned in a Spanish concentration camp during World War II. I am strongly against this kind of inhuminity.
So I just want you to know that I am behind you all the way. If there is anything you need help with let me know.

What are you compaining about? You already have Martin Luther King Jr (real name Michael King Jr) for a holiday and you like taking white girls to spit on white boys.

    Fucking nigger!

    • Posted by Shelby on March 22, 2011 at 3:41 am

You should probably not make any comments SH, cause your talking from your underdeveloped frontal lobe. Let me guess, you have no idea what I am talking about. That’s because you need to get an education, grow up, and do something good with your life. Cause it’s apparent you haven’t tried that yet.

      • Posted by SH on March 22, 2011 at 8:50 pm

        You’re an ignorant dupe, Shelby.

When White race become a de facto minority in America by 2050, America will cease to exist with U.S. Constitution, drafted by the White forefathers, dissolved.

America cannot survive when there are millions of non-white subhumans that displace White human beings. It will fall like Roman Empire fell.

You never learn the lesson, pursuant with your ignorance. Google “88 precepts.”

    • Posted by Brittany on March 22, 2011 at 4:28 am

Wow, what a douchebag. You have no fucking right to voice your opinion on here because it is worth nothing.

    • Posted by Austin LeSueur on March 23, 2011 at 4:53 pm

Due YOU are an ignorant subhuman piece of trash. People like you make me embarrased to be white. You are a terrible piece of scum who doesn’t deserve the life he was given. I’m surprised your redneck ass can even afford a fucking computer. Who do you think you are talking about ” non-white subhumans” like you own the freaking world? I bet you anything almost all of these people are smarter, more athletic, and are better people than you. I know and am friends and family with many african americans and latinos and I can tell you right now I view then the same as I would any white person because I’m not a racist, intolerant bigot like you. And based on what you believe, I’m sure you will have died of old age before 2050. And even if you are alive then, this country won’t dissolve. You are just a paranoid, bigoted loser who hasn’t accepted the fact that your side of this debate is entirely wrong. YOU are the kind of person who give all of us good, tolerant, nice white people a bad name. Go back to your little shack down by the river and do us all a favor and never come back.

        *stifles yawn*

      • Posted by Alfred de Kok. on March 24, 2011 at 10:32 am

OK, so SH was probably wrong to use the N word, but then he has as much right to express his opinion as the next man. You, however, make me marvel at the mentality of the non racist. You fire up the fires of indignation at his insult, and promptly follow suit by calling him a “redneck”. You seem to think this is ok. Is that because he´s white? Then you add further insults by suggesting he remove himself from society by retreating to his, “little shack down by the river”, whatever that´s supposed to mean. Are you suggesting people who don´t own mansions bordering the golf course lake are somehow unworthy? Wow, talk about bigotry. How does that make you any more tolerant than him? I suggest you stop feeling “ashamed” of being white because of this SH guy, and that you start to work on ridding yourself of the hate and bigotry you profess to detest so much. A good starting point would be your feelings towards members of your own race, if in fact, as you claim, you are indeed a white person.
As far as you are concerned Larz, try developing a sense of humour, or alternatively, a pair of balls. By reacting to what was obviously just a simple prank, you expose your persecution complex. No one of any consequence is really interested. OK?

    • Posted by AJ on March 29, 2011 at 7:12 pm

I think SH’s and most of the other comments of intolerance are probably mobilization attempts from around the country of organized hate groups looking for an audience. I doubt very much if most of the hate comments are local, but obviously there is too much sympathy for the perpetrators. Reply if you feel otherwise.

      • Posted by lish on March 31, 2011 at 6:17 am

You are right. SH/GOLAZ and others from stormfront are simply stirring the pot. His kind has been neutered, so he gets his kicks trolling high school kids.

  6. Posted by Karen on March 22, 2011 at 1:59 am

Hi Larz, Always remember that it is the vocal minority that makes the most noise. And the more disrespectful the group is, the louder they are. I’m sorry this happened to you. I hope that voicing what happened will bring awareness to the problem. I also know that in awhile you will be able to look back and shake your head because you are a better person. Remember, kill them with kindness.

    • Posted by Alfred de Kok. on March 24, 2011 at 10:36 am

“Hi Larz, Always remember that it is the vocal minority that makes the most noise.”

How could he? You and your kind suffer from verbal diarrhea.

      • Posted by Ash on March 31, 2011 at 6:38 pm

I know you did NOT just use a derivative of “you people” after lecturing someone on bigotry.

… Oh no, wait … you did.

  7. Posted by Mark on March 22, 2011 at 3:07 am

Larz, I am in an American History class at Dixie State College. It has been difficult keeping focused on the lectures as I think about the way people have been treated in the past. Everyone needs to know the truth. It is those that think they know it all that know the least. We don’t live in a perfect world. We, today have a lot to be thankful for. Hopefully the dead wood will rot away.
    Keep writing

    • Posted by SH on March 22, 2011 at 9:07 pm

In other words, Mark, you embrace indoctrination that “Whitey is bad! Cracker, honkey! Be ashamed and praise multiculturalism and diversity!”.

You thought you know the truth? You don’t.

I’m the “dead wood” you refer to that will come back to kick your faggot liberal ass.

The negative, hate-filled responses you have received here on your blog are also not okay. Thank you for speaking out–I’m only sorry you have not had more support behind you from your school. Be assured that YOU ARE NOT ALONE. We must all speak out against racism. Your voice is an inspiration for us all to continue to fight and speak out…

I’m here to support you Larz. You did the right thing, even if others don’t like it. Too bad for them. There are probably more for you than against you. I recommend that you have a way to remove the comments with a foul-mouth. It’s offensive. And, you deserve to have all the support comments on here. The whole reason the annihilation of the Jews took place during WWII is because no one spoke up. Speak UP! I’ll speak up with you.

  11. Posted by Kelly schueler on March 22, 2011 at 11:33 am

@ SH: I hope someone tracks you down and forces you to sit through an a college-level history course on slavery. Your hate is contemptible, and you are an ignorant degenerate. It is sad that you take your lack of intelligence out on others via bigotry and agression. I challenge you to an IQ test.

That said: I hope the perpetrator of this unacceptable act of hate is sanctioned in some way; his parents need to deal with this very serious issue.

@ Larz, support from an x-Utah resident all the way from NY.

    • Posted by SH on March 22, 2011 at 8:56 pm

Kelly, what you said is utterly contemptible.

College is Communist. Your suggestion indicates you support indoctrination and deracination of White people to assume shame, guilt, and self-loathing. “White privilege,” my arse.

If you thought “anti-racism” is the right way, then you’ve got it wrong. “Anti-racism” = “anti-white”, simple as that.

You’re a communist filth. I look forward to the future race war when niggers, spics and subhuman races are removed and expelled from First World nations built by European races.

      • Posted by larzsupporter on March 29, 2011 at 11:32 pm

SH: It is apparent that you have never experienced diversity in your world. I really don’t blame SH. He simply doesn’t have enough experience. He’s not as well-rounded. It’s why he says what he says with only initials. He is way too afraid to say these comments in public.
It’s too bad that he doesn’t realize that this world is changing. It’s important that we try and exercise forgiveness to people who just don’t know any better. Everyone has a right to his or her own opinion. He doesn’t understand that people are equal. He thinks one race is above another. It’s a sad day, but a good day for education. Let love conquer over hatred.
SH will have to learn lessons for himself, there’s nothing that we really can do to “teach” perspectives of acceptance and wisdom. I find SH’s words sad, heartless, and hateful. A human is a human. If you thought the white race was going to be above all other races, you are terribly mistaken my friend. If you think all other races to be sub par and beneath white race, it’s apparent you haven’t traveled the globe to meet many intelligent people who are not of the white race. This world is a lot bigger than Utah, and Utah is changing. That is a fact. I grew up in the California melting pot where we had so many mixed races in our school, we had to learn to get along with different cultures. And we judged people for who they were, not for how they looked or what color skin they had. It’s about time some people in this state start learning about differences and accepting these differences. Yes, it may be hard since Utah is a predominantly 95%+ white state. There’s bound to be ignorant comments made. It would be the same thing in a 95% other dominant race state. But there’s a time for change and a time for learning, always. Larz keep your head up. It takes a lot to stand up amidst peer pressure. Keep on going.

    • Posted by Alfred de Kok. on March 24, 2011 at 10:43 am

Kelly, what happened to all that liberal love and tolerance? Why can´t you simply accept SH has a different point of view, and just move on.
If you want to live with the label of white guilt hanging around your neck, be my guest. Just don´t expect the rest of us to do the same.

Way to go larz, now not only does the whole junior class hate you for ruining their senior class spirit bowl you have managed to get an innocent joke onto the news for a hate crime! It was directed towards the seniors because we are “black”. You blew this so out of proportion… You and your dad are retards. Hope you enjoy your highschool life where everyone is hating your now, actually hating your now that is…

    • Posted by Happy on March 24, 2011 at 4:23 am

Couldn’t agree more. You said what i wanted to. larz blew this WAY out of proportion. It was a stupid joke, not a freaking rascist show of hate. Larz you are an idiot, and you made many people hate you. Not cause you’re ‘multi-racial’ faggot. It’s cause you are a fucking idiot

    • Posted by ??? on March 29, 2011 at 3:11 pm

wow actually not everyone hates him, i know i dont, and you just need to realize that larz has a right to be offended, he didnt run off telling the news, they came to him, and he was honest. he isnt doing this to ruin his high school, i am pretty sure he would have asked for this not to happen, but it did, the kid in the kkk mask isnt racist, but his action came with a consequence that no one thought would be to this extent, i support larz 100%.

    • Posted by MS on April 2, 2011 at 6:58 pm

What is wrong with you? Do you seriously think not have a spirit bowl is more important than the allegations of racism? You clearly need to get your priorities straight. Let me point out some flaws in what you just said:

      1. It was not an “innocent joke.” When the kid put on the hood on always had it hidden and ducked out of sight when he took it off. Clearly, he knew it was wrong.
      2. Way to insult mentally disabled people as well as blacks. You’re racist AND insensitive. GREAT combo (that’s sarcasm in case you’re too stupid to figure that out).
      3. “Everyone is hating your now.” That speaks for itself. You can’t even put two words together, so nice try creating an argument.

  15. Felt good to read your post. It is sad that ignorance and hate have become so ingrained in some and that others would give them the benefit to parade around your school showcasing their hate. Racism is still alive and at the expensive of others. If it doesn’t cost them they simply don’t understand, but as in instances such as yours pulling the hood off on it allows others to get a peek of truth. Keep up the fight, and keep your head up regardless of what they say or do. Speak Truth to Power.

  16. Posted by Andrew Osman on March 22, 2011 at 6:46 pm

Larz, I applaud you for taking a stand. Keep up your courage. You’re correct, this act is offensive to all races, including mine, which is white. Keep your cool, and be cool.

    • Posted by Alfred de Kok. on March 24, 2011 at 10:52 am

Hey dude, speak for yourself. I´m white and I don´t find what happened offensive in the least. It was a joke and I think it was funny as fuck. Larz is a PC publicity seeking faggot. This whole racist bullshit might have had a place 40 years ago, but it´s been so overdone by blackie that it´s become tedious in the extreme. It´s time to stop pandering to this crap and recognising it for what it is, a pile of steaming horse dung. Stop laying the guilt trip on whitey. It´s old hat and it ain´t cuttin it no more. Geddit?

    • Posted by AltaStudent on March 24, 2011 at 4:25 am

No Utah schools are like this… It wasn’t even a kkk hood. He made a huge deal out of nothing. no rascim, no hate (except for larz) against “multi-racial people”

        Vegas Support-
I wouldn’t judge Utah based on Larz’s uncalled for media attention. I was there. Nobody will admit that what happened was NOT racist. It was a stupid joke. Let it go or get your facts straight.

      • Posted by ??? on March 29, 2011 at 3:14 pm

no not all utah schools are like this, larz didnt run off to the news, they came to him, he was not looking for media attention. this act was suppose to be inncocent but not tought out well enough, his action came with a concequence, same with larz, but i support larz 100%

  18. Posted by Grob Hahn on March 23, 2011 at 4:43 pm

Be glad you aren’t dealing with the REAL klan instead of 1 moron play acting. Real klansmen would not have tolerated this either and have strict guidelines about public appearances. While I am certain this was disturbing, it doesn’t merit the kind of whining you’re doing here. After all, it was NOT the real klan, so quit crying wolf and man-up already. The night riders are NOT coming after you, it’s all in your mind. Let it go already. Unless you like looking like a faux victim.

  19. Posted by td on March 24, 2011 at 12:01 am

Ok, I have been reading a lot of these comments made in respects to the situation that occurred. First, yes what the kid did was wrong. Second, Larz has every right to be offended and to voice his opinion how ever he deems fit. However, I have yet to see or maybe haven’t read yet any comment to the third party involved that has just as much culpability as the student who committed the act. Who was the educated, administrative, MORON that decided to have the colors of White and Black portrayed in this manner between any group of high school students. Knowing the ethnic make-up of the student population these colors were bond to stir up some idiots form of “A JOKE”. Alta’s school colors aren’t white and black, so what possessed the choice of colors for a spirit rally. THE ADMINISTRATION HAS JUST AS MUCH CULPABILITY IN THIS ISSUE AND NO ONE HAS BROUGHT THAT TO ATTENTION. MAYBE SOME PARENTS SHOULD ADDRESS THIS TO THE SCHOOL BOARD. Who’s fault really was this. It was set up to become a disaster and it is. THERE IS NO ROOM FOR HATE IN ANY SOCIETY. Take god out of our schools and this is what happens.

    • Posted by AltaStudent on March 24, 2011 at 4:28 am

Alta’s colors are black and white, with a red being an accent. Believe me, i would know. It’s been this ways since the VERY BEGINNING OF ALTA. Seniors black, juniors white and sophomores RED!!!

      • Posted by Alta Alum 96 on March 31, 2011 at 5:47 am

Alta colors are actually black & silver.

Please refer to the school song:

        Stand up for Alta High
Our Hawks soar to the sky
Our spirits high that is the key
to lead our team to victory
Alta hawks are here to stay
Our black and silver is the sun
We’ll show we are number 1

Chin up Lars. You’re part of the multi-task electronic generation, so you know how fast information spreads through blogs, twitter, facebook, etc…and by now you know how easily spit and acid burns. But keep your chin up. You stand tall and with the conviction that what you did was right. There are thousands of people who believe in you. Don’t allow others to let you down. Be proud of what you did. I sure am.

  26. Posted by Jenn Tarhovicky on March 29, 2011 at 6:16 am

WOW. That was a lot to take in. Although the children that pulled the “joke” claim not to have meant it to be racist but a “simple” joke, I’m sure they have had American History by this time in their education. How could they not see it as possibly being portrayed as or tied to racism? No mater the ignorance level you claim to have, you are still responsible for the conflict and contention your actions may cause. For every action there is a consequence no mater the excuse or justification you choose to hide behind.

  27. Posted by rkp68 on March 29, 2011 at 7:04 am

I am sad when I read these comments– so much hate, so many negative names being thrown out at people, so many feelings of discrimination being voiced. Scares me to death that my kids have to go to school amongst people with so little regard to the rest of humankind. I am literally sick about it as I read these comments.

Do the parents of these kids writing these things have any idea what a disgrace they are being? Or are they just allowed to run-a-muck on the internet spouting whatever hateful hurtful garbage that hits their brain and travels to their keyboard? So many of these posters are a total and utter disgrace to society.

Larz- I hope you are able to look past the crap and stand tall & proud of who you are, while maintaining respect for all of God’s children. What you described was very wrong, but even more wrong are the comments people are responding with, and all of the hate-slurs. I would hope that all of their parents could somehow know what they are really up to on the internet and make them face the consequences in a real-life way.

    May God bless us all.

It happens everywhere (and at some point) to everyone, i think. That you have reacted to it in such a mature way with your very fine, articulate blog is proof that perhaps maybe we as human beings are indeed evolving.

  31. Posted by rshack on March 29, 2011 at 4:15 pm

    To Larz Cosby:

Please stay strong and dismiss the ignorant taunts you are receiving on this website and others. Those writers reflect, at best, a revolting dismissiveness of racism, at worst, racism. Those of us who have fought all our lives to rid our country of this kind of ignorance and cruelty are truly disgusted to hear of this incident at your high school.

The school administrators missed a very valuable teaching opportunity in not immediately taking the perpetrator to the office and suspending/expelling him. I hope all administrators who were there will be punished because it is their job to keep the school environment one in which every young person can learn without fear and without retribution. Your rights in that school are just as critical as anyone else’s.

You are immediately finding out who your true champions are. Your father did the right thing in coming to your defense. (Hopefully, the substitute principal will be someone to lead.) Some will rise to the occasion. Others will fall with their deep distrust of those who are different from themselves. They are the losers.

Your situation is very much like those brave souls in the 1950’s and 1960’s who stood above the demeaning crowd and demanded better treatment. How tragic that this is 2011 and many have not learned those lessons…and because your perpetrator is so young, he was not taught these lessons by his parents.

You have become the teacher in this situation. Many people across the country are watching your courage.

yo son! I find it funny that so many young cats are on here defending their classmate’s offensive behavior as a simple joke! i can only assume that most of them are young in mind and experience. because, if i were to tromp thru that assembly with nothing but temple garments on i would have been tarred and feathered not only by students but faculty as well. as a matter of fact i suggest that you do it larz so that these so called white mormons can understand how symbols are important and represent more than what meets the eyes. i so want to be there if you decide to do this larz, the expression on every ones face would be PRICELESS! not to mention the media coverage and outraged parents who will want you expelled immediately and then shot on the 50 yard line without blind fold! btw, i am mormon, i lived in sandy, but i am NOT WHITE…lol! ass cheeks! hahaha! you white kids just dont understand how well you have it in sandy! go to rose park, glendale, west valley, kearns and you are an after thought! besides those communities are flying WAY more football championship banners than your wanna be power house school ( i know where to kick you in your kit, you sooo want to be bingham hs with all their football success-news flash, they have BROWN guys playing for them!!!lol)! nuts all over your face honkeys!! realize that your cute little cheerleaders will be getting jizz in their mouth by some polynesian football players while they attend snow college after graduating next year, coming back to sandy addicted to porn, cheap alcohol, and colored DONG! boom!

    • If you really are Mormon, then your post makes you worthy of Church discipline, either disfellowshipment or excommunication. Not only do you openly admit your contempt for the White community, but you also openly celebrate the fact that Whites are not particularly safe in Rose Park, Glendale, WVC, and Kearns. Race hatred is inconsistent with Church membership.

Furthermore, your gratuitous remarks about oral sex are not only disgusting and nauseating, but totally inconsistent with the standards expected of a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Either change your attitude and bring Jesus Christ back into your life, or do the honorable thing and resign from our Church forthwith. You have no place in the LDS community with your present attitude.

Ha. It’s alive and well in Utah isn’t it? Got to love all the racist comments from the peanut gallery. Yeah, Larz has a right to express his opinion, and unfortunately the racists have a right as well.

I guess if your ancestors had endured hundreds of years of slavery, rape, beatings, lynchings, etc… you might be a tad bit sensitive. The foolish child who donned the white hood must have been raised by imbiciles. Time for some re-education I guess.

    Hang in there Larz.

I have been reading these posts with interest and myself have gone back and forth on the issue. I was born in the 60’s and see the relavance of the white hat and the kkk implications, but kids today don’t have quite that insight. They read about it in history, but have not had to experience it to the level that people did when I was growing up. My kids don’t see color or sexuality or lots of other things that were huge biases when I was young and I am grateful for that. Did this kids make a bad choice, yes, did he realize how offensive it was, no. He hasn’t experienced this period in life first hand. Larz sounds like he has been “educated” on the issues because of the experiences of his dad. I am not saying what he did was right and when I first read it I was appalled, but the more I thought about it I realized how far we have come in accepting people because he didn’t even consider the consquences of his actions being derogatory. Kids do stupid things all the time without thinking and this is just one more example. To categorize all of Alta in a negative light or all of Utah for the matter because of a stupid act is unacceptable. I believe there is so much more tolerance today and kids don’t segregate themselves like I experienced, but we still have to deal with stupid teenage minds.

I applaud your courage to stand up to such a heinous and disgusting element at your high school (and this community). Such a “joke” is clearly insensitive and beyond ridiculous. How could any student with a limed understanding of history not understand the pain this display would not cause students with African ancestry? The KKK murdered, raped and terrorized the Africa-Americans. Lynching is not a joke.

The administration at the school are clearly in the wrong not to have curtailed this situation. Prevention is clearly the best medicine in this instance. They are the adults in charge.

The angry students at Alta clearly do not comprehend that this “joke” has no place in a school. How would the white LDS students like others to blatantly joke about the murder of Joseph Smith? How do you think African-Americans, bi-racial or multicultural students were to respond? Were they to laugh? And feel at ease?

The connection to the Constitution and the Founding Father’s is tenous at best. Slavery is in the Constitution but the right of human being is also very evident. The Declaration states… “All men are created equal…” The Founding Fathers had inconsistencies and conflicts. Jefferson himself bemoaned slavery–he tried to put it in the Declaration but was over rode by other Southernors. He stated it would be resolved only in a civil war.

    Larz–keep your chin up.

SH is the only one with a brain here, all you anti-white brainwashed retards will come running back to him when your finally overrun by your beloved minorities.
And Larz by the way its Lars, Lars is a 4-letter name.. can’t you even spell that right? lighten up how come we cant show pride u have a whole month dedicated to blacks and what they contributed to society that’s hilarious let me think the only black invention i can think of is Peanut Butter that’s it WOW! It’s free speech. If you don’t like it leave the country.

Are you serious? You are so bigoted and racist and downright stupid. Maybe I’ll start complaining that you should spell your name “RUDE-olf” instead of “Rudolf” because you clearly have no idea what the KKK is about. You say that blacks have a whole month dedicated to them, so does that mean that every other day is pro-white? NO. Get a life, maybe they’re on sale at Target.

You did the correct thing by bringing this to light. What many of these “people: I use that term loosly” dont realze if they were working at a job and said or did what these students did they would be fired and possible charges filed. This is not taken lightly in the real world that you and your peers are preparing for. These students had better try to clean up the mess and not try to hide behind it. Also, they don’t think that this will have any effect on their future… this will follow them to their grave. Employers search and look at things like this.. its hard enough to get a job now and this just kills their chances at any government jobs.
Just remember Larz, the intelligent adults are behind you and will support you.

Sorry you had to experience this Larz. There is nothing funny about the what happened and I appreciate the courage you are showing by taking a stand.

  40. Posted by KD on March 30, 2011 at 4:46 pm

SH: You probably need to practice saying, “Do you want fries with that?” Because that is probably all you will ever amount to in life. Please do not plan on procreating – we have too many of your kind – loudmouthed, obnoxious people who think they are superior to others.

Larz, hang in there – stand your ground and don’t let people like SH get in your way. SH is a nobody and always will be.

I completely agree with this. Too many people are being ignorant about this. The worst part is, is that many argue that if the issue was concerning a swastika rather than a KKK hood THEN it would be bad. What I fail to understand is how someone can even differentiate between the two. They were both evil groups and wearing either one is not just a “joke.”

  41. Posted by Steven on March 31, 2011 at 8:31 am

Wah wah wah. Are people supposed to care about some white kid who wears a hat when there’s no shortage of blacks roaming the country who are statistically 9 times more likely to commit a violent crime? Some people REALLY need to get their priorities straight.

    • Posted by Brandon on April 2, 2011 at 5:25 pm

That statistic is misleading, very misleading. Blacks and minorities are the ones being charged for a myriad of crimes. The suggestion that this statistic holds a lot of merit is laughable. I certainly wouldn’t make a generalizable about a group of people based on this information alone!

Since the majority of the population in this country consists of White people it is safe to assume they commit the very same crimes that you speak of. It just so happens law enforcement “tends” to catch and charge minorities with these crimes more often that Whites who do the same thing.

stop being overly-sensitive. grow some thicker skin. this is such a non-event. why don’t you try crying “wolf!” when it is truly necessary. get off this molehill you call the moral high ground. you suffer from MOPE syndrome (most oppressed people on earth). you should be ploughing energy into something more practical.

    • Posted by SI on April 2, 2011 at 6:39 pm

You are completely ignorant. He is not crying wolf and he is not being overly sensitive. The KKK was an evil group responsible for many hateful actions. If you don’t understand this, then maybe you should get a brain and pay attention in a history class. Donning a KKK hood shows racism and an ignorance towards others, their backgrounds, and their emotions. If there was a group that started killing off your family and people of your ethnicity and then made a “joke” about it, I’m sure you would be the first to start complaining. So try to have some understanding and stop being an uncultured and unaware idiot.

I went to Alta High several years ago and am well aware of the non diverse student population. It is just a sheltered protected group. What you did was brave and right. Wearing clothing that resembled KKK uniforms is not funny and is not “harmless”. The comments I see on this website from so many racists are disturbing. I thought we had moved beyond unintelligent, ignorant beliefs. Keep it up, you have a bright future ahead of you.

    Greetings Mr. Cosby,

My name is Gus, and I operate a talk radio program exclusively focused on Racism. I make an effort to share constructive information, current events, publications and projects related to Racism. Tim Wise, Dr. Peggy McIntosh, Cynthia McKinney and a myriad of other authors and scholars from around the globe have been guests on my program. We discussed your experience on a recent program, and we would appreciate the chance to have you as a guest. I was disgusted by the alleged joke. But more importantly, we were inspired by your courage. Racism will fall when more people are willing to oppose Racists in the same way that you did. I would love to hear more about the help you have received in solving this problem. I know we can learn a great deal from you, Mr. Cosby. I am certain your itinerary remains congested, and I will do all that I can to conform to your schedule. Please, contact me if you are willing to speak with us. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Take excellent care, sir.

…..my daughter is non Mormon and white and was treated like a leper once she became of dating age(we must follow the ‘church’ rules concerning dress and dating or we are satan’s child)she was teased and taunted by the majority of the school kids for her being different~this caused her to start cutting herself(hundreds of times!!) and with a 4.0 GPA she dropped out of school in the 10th grade….a different race or a different religion this State screams ‘conform or get out!’through the ‘mouth piece’ they call their kids….they reflect a huge majority who will not go without a spot light shined in their dark little hearts and minds~You go Larz~i wish i had the guts to fight this racist/bigoted community who are NOT accepting of anyone different!!
